Safety begins with Awareness

Our Internship 2026 students participated in an engaging training session on Safety and Protection, where they learned the importance of staying alert, making safe decisions, and knowing whom to turn to in times of need.

As part of the session, the interns completed an activity to identify their first-response safe people,

the trusted individuals they would contact during a difficult or emergency situation. Many listed their parents, siblings, and grandparents, while others chose close friends and the police as their reliable support system.

Knowing your emergency contacts and having trusted people you can rely on is an essential step toward staying safe. We encourage everyone to take a moment to identify their own support network because preparedness can make all the difference.
