Interfaith League Against Poverty (I-LAP), established in 2004 and registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance of 1961, is a non-profit organization headquartered in Islamabad with an international chapter in Louisville, Kentucky, USA (I-LAP-US), connecting believers across borders.
I-LAP-PAK operates across forty districts in Pakistan’s four provinces, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Baluchistan.
A non-partisan citizen initiative, I-LAP empowers marginalized communities regardless of faith, caste, or creed—strengthening them economically while highlighting the importance of peace, and promoting religious tolerance, and mutual respect among all faiths for peaceful coexistence in daily life. Guided by the motto “The more we sweat in peace, the less we bleed in war,” I-LAP emphasizes proactive peacemaking.
Recognized by the Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP) for excellence in governance, financial management, and program delivery, I-LAP is also a proud member of the International Network of Museums for Peace, Netherlands and the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Islamabad (WCCI).
