The flood destroyed crops, houses, communication lines, roads, and bridges, making access to remote areas even more difficult and causing horrific damage to 25% of the country. It would not be wrong to call it the biggest disaster of human history in which an estimated 1,600 people lost their lives and many others lost their houses, livestock, and livelihood.
